Lowe Alpine AirZone Trail 30 Backpack
When navigating winding trails and making steady progress uphill, stay cool and comfortable with the AirZone Trail 30. A great all-round hiking backpack with a ventilated back, perfect for trekking, hill walking and day hikes.
Crafted from super tough 210D ripstop nylon with a HydroShield water-resistant coating for a durable, weatherproof backpack that won't let you down. The AirZone Trail 30 also features a fixed AirZone breathable back to maximise airflow, keeping you cool, fresh and comfortable during wear. Single buckle closure opens to the main compartment, which has a 30-litre capacity, giving you plenty of space for kit and essentials you might need out on the trail, such as waterproofs or extra layers and the front organiser pocket can easily take an OS map. Upper and lower side compression straps deliver improved stability out on the trail by compressing the volume of the pack and bringing the load closer to the core muscles. They can also be sued to attach gear to the outside of the pack – ideal for bulkier items or wet items. A forward pull hip belt adjustment provides a precise, secure fit that feels comfortable. Hip belt pockets allow easy access on the go to gels and snacks, whilst stretch side water bottle pockets mean you can hydrate easily. An internal secure lid pocket and key clip keep your valuables safe on the move and during packing and unpacking. A zipped side pocket and front pockets deliver yet more storage. This backpack is also hydration compatible, so you can use a hydration system as well as a water bottle. An ice axe loop and secure TipGripper walking pole attachments mean that his backpack is incredibly useful and perfect for whatever your adventures throw at it.
About Lowe Alpine
Greg, Mike and Jeff Lowe were raised on the move. By their twenties, the Lowe brothers were the leading climbers of their generation, but they hit a wall: the external backpacks available at the time were too heavy and unstable to progress further in the mountains. They realised they needed a new kind of pack that could carry gear more securely, whilst letting them move more freely on demanding terrain.
In 1967, Greg Lowe designed, tested and launched the Expedition pack from Lowe Alpine Systems, a revolutionary backpack that gave climbers more freedom of movement in the mountains. It featured an innovative internal frame, compression straps and other never before seen features. This pack changed the outdoor industry forever, becoming the blueprint from which all modern, technical backpacks are derived.
Today their insatiable desire for progress, for building better packs that help people to push the boundaries of what is possible are reflected in Lowe Alpine's range of rucksacks. The carry systems are designed to move with you; precise, considered ergonomics inform fit and unique features that promote freedom of movement are built into their designs to further improve the carry and ensure you can rely on your Lowe Alpine pack trip after trip, year after year.
