The North Face Vectiv Exploris Futurelight Walking Boots
Combining an ultra-light yet supportive footplate, midsole rocker geometry, and SurfaceCTRL grip, the new VECTIV technology is designed to maximise energy on the trail. And for the Exploris that translates into hiking boots engineered to go the distance.
Developed to be lightweight, supportive, and protective, the Vectiv Exploris Futurelight Walking Boots have been constructed using a Cordura ripstop mesh. The breathable mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst, at the same time allowing hot, humid air to escape; this creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. As well as this, Condura fabrics work to ensure increased durability on tough trails. The durable nature of the upper reduces the risks of abrasion and resists tearing so you'll have complete confidence as you tackle uneven terrain. As well as this, The North Face's signature Futurelight technology has been used within the construction of the upper. Futurelight is an industry-leading advanced technology that is rigorously tested to withstand the harshest weather conditions whilst still providing enhanced breathability. The nano-spun membrane and unique laminating process take lightweight waterproof breathability to a new level; the Futurelight upper works to keep your feet dry, cool and comfortable at all times by creating airflow and keeping water out. The waterproof membrane protects your feet in the harshest rainstorms and allows your feet to breathe when temperatures begin to rise. By allowing cool air to flow throughout the upper Futurelight technology creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in so you can go further for longer in complete comfort. To ensure added protection, the integrated protective toe cap, rand, and heel overlays increase structure and support to keep you going on tough terrain. Completing the upper is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
Vectiv Technology Midsole
Designed to maximise energy on the trails, the midsole has been constructed using The North Face's revolutionary Vectiv technology. The Vectiv system works to provide you with more energy return by reducing fatigue and helping you prepare for the next toe-off. Vectiv technology minimises energy loss, increases propulsion, and delivers an abundance of structural support making movements feel effortless and giving you the confidence to reach new PB's. Within the midsole, a rocker geometry is engineered to create long-lasting forward propulsion so you'll always feel ready to take your next step. The curved nature of the soles delivers outstanding energy return and works to create fluid moves throughout the gait cycle for optimal efficiency. To ensure complete comfort, the lightweight ground-contact EVA foam helps to cushion the feet as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. The soft nature of the foam ensures complete comfort on uneven terrain so you can go further for longer. As well as this an Ortholite footbed provides added underfoot comfort as well as moisture management that works to keep your feet cool and dry. Completing the midsole is a dual-density 3D TPU plate underfoot which offers multi-directional stability and forward propulsion.
Surface Control Rubber Outsole
Designed to be hardwearing and grippy the Vectiv Exploris Futurelight Walking Boots have been developed using The North Face's signature Surface Control Rubber Outsole. This durable compound has been specially designed to ensure traction on both wet and dry surfaces. Not only does the outsole work exceptionally well on wet and dry terrain but it also works to ensure multi-directional traction on a wide range of surfaces. The highly durable rubber is strong enough to withstand the toughest trails yet, is flexible enough to adapt to different terrain so you can have complete control. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. The outsole is designed to hold firm on uneven terrain so you can have complete confidence on the toughest terrains. Completing the outsole are 4 mm lugs that provide the optimal balance between traction and durability on the trail. The lugs dig deep into wet mud and slippery rocks to ensure added traction and control. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
The North Face Story
Named after the coldest, most unforgiving side of a mountain, The North Face has helped explorers reach the most unfathomable heights of the Himalayas for years. However, The North Face legend ironically begins on San Francisco's North Beach neighbourhood, at only 150 feet above sea level. Here, two passionate hiking enthusiasts first founded a small mountaineering retail store in 1966. Soon after, this small shop became known as The North Face and began to design and manufacture its own brand of technical apparel and equipment.
From there The North Face has grown extraordinarily, and now supplies a wide range of products for hiking, skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing and even ultra and trail runners. Continuing to expand all the time, The North Face pushes the boundaries of innovation so that you can push the boundaries of exploration. There's little telling what the next 50 years will hold for the company. However, there is one certainty: The North Face will maintain an unwavering commitment to providing the best possible designs so that you never stop exploring.
